Ms. Thomas' experiences include over 20 years of work as a Data Scientist in the fields of Clinical Nursing, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Clinical Analysis, Drug & Device Certifications, Medical Informatics, Direct Patient Care as a Paramedic and more recently as a Clinically Practicing Registered Nurse. In addition, she has fine-tuned her abilities in Research Methods, Statistical Analysis, Statistical Modeling, Forecasting, Trending, Decision Tree Analysis, Cluster and Factor Analysis, Predictive Modeling, Disease Progression Modeling and Pharmicovigilance. Ms. Thomas has developed subject matter expertise through her experience in Data Mining, Fraud Exploration, Applied Statistics, and Multivariate Analysis. She has also developed customized Study Designs for and in support of Experimental Protocols, Clinical Trials, Cohort & Case Control Studies and Surveys. Ms. Thomas has served as Subject Matter Lead for a sub-portfolio of Congressional Special Interest (CSI) and Small Business Innovative Research, (SBIR) projects focused on pharmacovigilance; detection of unusual patterns of interest/concern, DoD claims; detection of prescription variances, treatment pattern differences, DRG cost comparisons and novel pattern development from longitudinal medical records, to understand disease trends, treatment patterns and potential medication adverse effects. Subject Matter Lead for projects requiring biostatistical and epidemiologic guidance. In addition, Ms. Thomas has been Team Lead for a business practice offering quantitative analytic support in Health, Civil and Military consulting space serving government agencies, as well as multiple commercial engagements creating longitudinal records from patient health histories, encounter data and pharmaceutical usage profiles.

Mr. Thomas’ experiences include 20 years as a Career Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician on Advanced Life Support and Hazardous Materials Response Units, Extensive Experience in Fire Science Theory & Application, Hazardous Material Response, Emergency Evacuation Plans, Pre-hospital Emergency Preparedness Protocols and Incident Command Deployment. In addition, along with his significant experience in these areas, he has also earned certifications in Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive Response (CBRNE), OSHA and FEMA Disaster Preparedness, Confined Spaces Rescue Training, and was an Instructor in Civilian Safety Methods. Mr. Thomas is also proficient in Rendering Pre-hospital and Emergency Patient Care, ECG Administration and Basic Rhythm Interpretation, Vital Signs, Primary Assessment, Phlebotomy, Medical Communication with Hospital Personnel and Emergency Command.

Mr. Thomas’ quantitative background includes proficiency in Survey Development and Administration, Sample Size Estimation, Descriptive Analysis, General and Basic Statistical Methods, Report Writing, Analyzing Complex and Relational Databases. He is skilled in SPSS, SAS, Minitab and StatPro, S-Plus, Clementine and Basic SQL. In conjunction with these skills, he has excellent communication, teaming abilities and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Mr. Thomas military background also includes an eight-year tour of Duty in the US Marine Corps completed with an Honorable Discharge.
